ASME Code Vessels

Posted on October 12th, 2015 by vapro

Although ‘Code’ pressure vessels vary so much in size and usage that very few are exactly alike, they all share one thing: They are built and stamped per the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Since 1980 Pressure Products, Inc., has been empowered by the ASME to build vessels under Section VIII, Division 1 of the latest Code edition for vessels having an internal or external pressure over 15 psi.

Oilfield & Gas Production Equipment

  • Pulsation Bottles
  • Filters and Filter Separators:
    • Typical purpose is a combination of capturing solids and removing liquids
    • Liquid filtration
    • Dry filtration
  • Knockout Drums:
    • Flare, Liquid – Typically used to slow down gases and allow liquids to fall out of the gas stream or flare gas
  • Amine Vessels:
    • Stills, Contactors, Absorbers, Regenerators, Filters, and Reboilers – Typically used to “sweeten” the gas stream removing sour & acid gases
  • Slug Catchers:
    • Serve to protect the gas/liquid handling capacity of the plant equipment at the pipeline exit
  • Pig Launchers and Receivers:
    • Pigs are typically used to push the liquid contents in the pipeline to the outlet in addition to other cleaning, coating, and inspection requirements
  • Reboilers:
    • Supply additional heat to the lower part of a fractionating column, using internal coils
  • Separators
  • Trayed Towers
  • Packed Bed Towers
  • Hyperbaric chambers
  • Small to medium skid units
  • Liquid storage vessels
